We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Site Assistant to join our construction team. As a Site Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the preparation of estimates, site management, and construction of various building components.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in estimating labour and material costs for construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Perform manual tasks such as measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure efficient project completion
Requirements:
- High school graduation certificate
- 1-2 years of experience in the construction industry
- Ability to work on-site with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina for demanding work in various weather conditions
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding work environment
- On-site work with varying weather conditions
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
